Westwood Condo - Master Bedroom in progress

Master Bedroom

My Westwood condo remodel is coming along wonderfully. Here is a sneak peak at the progress.

Here is a computer rendering image of the master bedroom that I put together to show my client. I always start by creating a color scheme in the room, then I pick out individual pieces to show my client to see if we are going in the right direction. Once the client approves the pieces I put them together in a photoshop rendering to show them what the finished product will look like. I always leave some wiggle room when it comes to swapping out pieces.
For example when we started purchasing furniture, we ended up going with a different bed from RH.

Today was an important day for furniture installation, the custom bed from restoration hardware arrived. The bed is the Grayson sleigh bed in charcoal, the quality of the upholstery is wonderful and the bed fits beautifully in the space. It works perfect with the tall dramatic linen drapes and chunky braided wool rug.

I cannot wait to purchase the rest items and the bedding as well as the decorative pillows to complete the look!

Westwood Condo Project

Latest Project!!

For the past 9 months I have been working on a wonderful project in Westwood.

It is a complete condo remodel which I have designed from start to finish, here are some pics of the progress.

Cannot wait for the final professional pictures when it is complete. We are now in the process of finishing up the kitchen, ordering furnishings, lights, rugs, and accessories. The feeling is blend of masculine modern with traditional warmth. I've added texture with finishes and character through the furniture and accessories.

Picture of the living room fireplace wall. This linear gas burning fireplace is surrounded by a split-face travertine, underneath the floating hearth is covered with a custom smooth plaster. The floors are Acacia hand scraped wide plank hardwood, and the paint is "stone ground" from Farrow and Ball. Here is the first piece of furniture in the house, a new take on a mid century modern chair from Crate and Barrel.

Being a corner unit this linear burning fireplace is the largest size we could fit. It is controllable by the hand held iPad lutron system where it can easily be turned on and off. Perfect for a chilly fall night.

Here is a shot of the master bathroom. It was a complete remodel and features custom rift cut oak cabinets with a honed limestone square countertop. The tile in the shower is a honed French Limestone large tiles 12" x 24" to make the shower appear large. We chose a clear glass for the shower and kept with the theme of square fixtures throughout.

All of the fixtures in the shower are top of the line, a overhead Kohler rainhead, Santec trim for the showerhead and thermostatic valve, and a hans-grohe handheld shower head . The sink is a ceramic white square sink from Kohler.
My client wanted a clean and simple look that was masculine, a "hotel" look.
